About the Author

Mika Ryan

Mika Ryan, author of “Hank, the Therapy Dachshund”, has shared 38 years with her husband Pat raising and loving a menagerie of dachshunds. She has raised dachshund pups and adopted adult dachshunds for companionship and pet therapy.

Mika is a retired collegiate women’s basketball coach and TV color analyst. These days she can be found reading, writing, enjoying her family and caring for dachshunds Connor, Penny and Paddy.

She and Pat reside in Southlake, Texas.
